On Saturday morning we took the dog children to PetSmart's Howl-O-Ween party. They were dressed - of course - as Eeyore, Pooh, and Tigger. I told J that he should be Christopher Robin but for some reason he didn't think that was a good idea.

J went hunting Saturday afternoon/evening so guess what I did? I watched episodes of The Vampire Diaries for about five hours straight. No joke. Add in some laundry and dishes and working on a business plan and you have yourself one wild Saturday night.
J came home late, fell asleep watching TVD after about five bored minutes, and I continued watching until 4:30 AM. Not kidding. I'm looking forward to catching up on this series so that I can finally stop obsessing over Damon and Silas and Bonnie Bennett. Each episode ends with a giant cliffhanger, so obviously I can't just stop watching... It's addicting.
Despite my 4-hour vampire nap, we made it to church on Sunday morning. I love the peace I feel when I leave. Something about it feeds my soul and starts my week on a good note.
Sunday was one of the very rare cloudy, rainy days in Denver. I made my favorite chicken tortilla soup with cheese quesadillas and we snuggled in with the dogs for football and movies. And maybe a couple pieces of Halloween candy. I was talking to an old friend the other night and we were talking about how you know you love someone when you can be happy doing absolutely nothing with them. And it is so true.
