We started Saturday at Animal Kingdom... J and I liked it, but it wasn't our favorite. The highlight was definitely the safari ride. The animals were amazing and seeing them in a "natural" setting was so beautiful!!
After Animal Kingdom, J and I went to Hollywood Studios for lunch. There were so many youth groups (cheerleaders, vocal groups) that it made it miserable to try and go on any rides!! It wasn't J's favorite so we didn't stay there long... This is one of the many reasons I suggest going on trips like these without a plan!! You can just go along and make decisions based on how you feel, what you want to do.
In the afternoon, J and I went to Epcot. I wanted to see England, but it only made me miss the real England more!! It's amazing how well Disney has conveyed the personality and culture of each of the countries!! We got a drink in France and an appetizer in Italy, then went to Japan for some shopping!! :)
Japan was my favorite because they have Hello Kitty everything there. They also open oysters and you can have your pearl put into a necklace or ring!! J bought me an oyster, then he put it in a necklace for me. It's such a nice keepsake to have and remember our trip, especially since we spent so much time at Epcot :)
J's sister joined us at Epcot and we had some sake and mochi ice cream in Japan, then we went on to Mexico!! Soon it was time for us to catch the monorail to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks... In my opinion, they are the best at Disney because of the beautiful lights across Cinderella's castle and all the classic Disney songs they play.
Since the crowds die down a bit at night, we took our opportunity to visit Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel's Undersea Adventure, and The Mad Tea Party (the teacups!!) We grabbed a midnight snack at Gaston's Tavern.
Our last day/night at Disney was so much fun... I cannot wait to go back!!

Well look at us both vacation recapping! I think I would like Animal Kingdom but Epcot sounded amazing! I've never even heard of it...I need to look it up! Is it like a lot of different countries settings in a little town or something? Or does each have their own store? I'm clueless :)
ReplyDeleteEpcot is like a bunch of different countries... Some have rides, others just have shopping and restaurants. The Disney characters are also in their respective countries... Belle and Aurora in France, Aladdin/Jasmine in Morocco, Alice and Mary Poppins in England, etc. There are also various tech/space rides that aren't country-specific. It's SO much fun!! You have to go!! :)
DeleteThat's awesome they make jewelry from the pearls you pick out!! I've been to that store a few times and I always see people surrounding the tank so I figured it was just a fish tank LOL.
ReplyDeleteOrlando is one of my favorite places! A really good friend of mine lives there, so everytime I visit, we try and go to Disney World.
ReplyDeleteLoved your photos!
