J and I went to a character breakfast at the Grand Floridian Hotel with J's mom, sister, and nephew. It was so cute!! I loved seeing J's nephew get so excited over seeing the brightly colored, larger than life characters!! Even though he's a baby he can recognize the bright colors and large costumes as something different and special. It was precious.
After breakfast, we went to Magic Kingdom for a day of character visits, rides, and lots of sunshine. I was especially excited to see the new additions... Belle's castle, Gaston's Tavern, and Ariel's castle!! I wanted to have dinner at Belle's Be Our Guest restaurant in the castle but the times were reserved months in advance. Maybe next time!! :)
In the evening I had to go back to the hotel to fax a form back to work before the close of business. J and I freshened up for dinner... How do you get so filthy at a theme park?! It blows my mind... I felt so disgusting each time we got back to the hotel!!
That night, we went to Epcot with J's mom, sister, and nephew... We sipped champagne in France and watched the belly dancers while dining in Morocco (my favorite!) After dinner, J and I watched the fireworks and got sangria in Italy. I found the cutest little pouches and coin purses in China. The park was open late so we had fun going on rides with less crowds!!
As we were leaving, we heard the funniest conversation...
Dad: Okay, we'll come back tomorrow if you don't get cars when you're sixteen. So, if Dad doesn't have to buy you cars when you turn sixteen... We can come back tomorrow. Deal??
Kids: (Pause) Okay... Deal!!!
What a smart dad. :)
Even better than the crowd-free rides was the beautiful walk back to the hotel along the Disney Boardwalk. The lights were glowing off the water, there was a slight breeze in the air, and I was with my love!! Perfection.

Looks like so much fun! I am showing my husband all of your post about Disney world! he said we can't go until we have kids but I want to go before!
ReplyDeleteI actually think it's a good idea to go before!! You can accomplish SO much more in a day... And believe it or not, Disney can actually be romantic!! Plus, you will know what you like and what you don't before you have kiddos along!! :)
