Halloween Weekend Recap!!!

I think it's safe to say Halloween 2010 was a success!!  My friends and I had a fantastic time... We loved our costumes both nights and had so much fun!!

Here's what happened...

Friday:  AW and I dressed up as flappers!!  Our friend AB stayed in to study, but before she hit the books she came over to do some flapper-esque hairstyles on AW and I.  I was absolutely floored with how beautiful and intricate our "flapper hair" looked!!  I'm beginning to think AB needs to drop out of school and do wedding hair  ; )

Once our flapper hair was accessorized with sparkling jewelry and long, sexy gloves, we taxi-ed across the city with our friends to one of my favorite events of the year: my sorority sister ML's Halloween party!!!  I love ML because of her fun, bright personality... I don't think I've ever seen this girl on a "bad day".  She is so welcoming and cheerful, she loves Halloween, and she loves hosting parties... The result??  An amazing Halloween party, decorated to the hilt and stocked with Halloween punch, candy, and yummy treats.  Everyone always has fun, there is plenty of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga to dance to, and always a few new people to meet.  As usual, time flies while we're there, and all of a sudden we realized it was already 11:30pm!!  After both Pauly D's yelled, "Caaaabs are here!!" we were off to the next location.

The amazing hosts... Red Green and Sookie!!!  :)
***If you want to follow ML, her Twitter name is:  @MatteaCL!!!***
ML with The Situation and Pauly D, who loved our flapper cigarettes!!

We ended the night at the Vampire Masquerade party... And you know I was a happy girl.  There were over a hundred sets of fangs all around me!!  Eeeeee!!! :)  The venue was great, and had these black and white vampire movie clips running on the flat screens.  The event had a great dj, and we danced our little flapper booties off on the dance floor!!!

At the Vampire Masquerade... Nobody cared that we didn't have little flapper fangs  :)

Saturday:  I was so excited to get ready with AB and AW this night because our costumes had gone from dark, vampy flappers to bright, girly Disney princesses!!  Instead of dark, smoky eyes and burgundy lips, we did big pageant hair, shimmering eyes, and pretty pink lips.  Without really intending to, AB put her impressive hairstylist skills to work again, creating the most amazing princess hairstyles for all of us!!  We loved it!!

Miss Lola in her Cinderella costume!!

AB's amazing handiwork... She could be a hair stylist, I'm telling you!!

We practiced our princess voices in the taxi on the way to the lounge... But once we sat down at our table, the night got off to a bit of a rocky start.  Without getting into it, I'll just say that we had to deal with some crabby boys, right off the bat.  But what's more important is what happened after they left... My two AMAZING girlfriends pulled me and my Belle petticoat off the couch and onto the dance floor... They were determined to turn our night around, and this type of attitude is just one of the many reasons I love them.  No matter what, we weren't going to let twenty minutes of ridiculousness ruin our night.

Katy Perry and Belle are best friends!!!  :)
JM and her boyfriend who dressed as Whiplash from Iron Man 2!! I thought his costume was sooo creative!!

Before long, a group of friends showed up who are a lot of fun and always very entertaining, then two of my besties EF and JM came with their boyfriends and a few more friends... As I looked around, I realized how lucky I am to have such great friends - friends who are able to light up my whole night and put a huge smile on my face.  I love them dearly... And I honestly don't know what I would do without them in my life.  We sipped our drinks, danced, and took so many pictures... We ended up having an absolute ball, complete with after-hours at a friend's house and late-night pizza.  : )  Three little princesses fell into their beds around 5 a.m... Sleepy, tired feet, and messy hair.

I couldn't find the Beast!! But a Phantom of the Opera with a rose is close enough...  : )
All the girls!!

The moral of this fairy tale story?!  It doesn't really matter if the princesses end up with a Beast... or if they find their Prince Charming.  It doesn't matter if they are the fairest of them all, or are feeling more like Ugly Stepsisters that day.  What matters is that they always have each other... Tiaras, stockings, petticoats, and all.

I hope you all had a very Happy Halloween, lovelies!!!

Xoxo B.
